GTS Case Study
KINTO LATAM
About Kinto
KINTO is Toyota’s mobility brand. KINTO Share in LATAM was originally set up as Toyota Mobility Services and launched in Argentina late 2018. The program now operates in 15+ countries across the region, supporting multiple languages, currencies and tax regimes all from one platform and with one user experience for customers. It is the largest KINTO Share program in the world.
The Opportunity
KINTO wanted to begin providing mobility services through Toyota’s dealer network in Argentina with ambitions to extend the service across Latin America. They required advanced dealership rental functionality and an integration with a specific regional payment provider. They also required a comprehensive pricing engine to address different market dynamics across the region. The capacity to support multiple different national currencies, taxes, terms and conditions and laws on one platform with one user experience for all customers was a key concern for KINTO in Latam.
They required advanced dealership rental functionality and an integration with a specific regional payment provider. They also required a comprehensive pricing engine to address different market dynamics across the region.
The GTS Solution
GTS extended its dealership rental functionality to enable specific operational alerts for dealer staff. Apps were upgraded to allow optional extra fields for the upselling of additional products (car seats, roof racks, insurance, etc). GTS integrated with the regional payment provider in 6 weeks and the service was live 8 weeks after contracts were signed. Due to GTS’s multi-community platform architecture it was very easy for Toyota to roll out the service to other countries in Latin America by setting up each new country as a community with its own currency, taxes, language, bank account etc.
